St Michael & All Angels Enborne

St Michael & All Angels, Enborne

A beautiful 12th Century Church situated on the outskirts of Newbury and was heavily restored in the late 19th century with a recently enlarged and well cared for graveyard, in which a number of soldiers from the civil war are buried.

There is an excellent, newly built parish hall and Benefice office – the Barn.

Enborne consists of a number of small, scattered communities adjoining Newbury and Wash Common.  There isn’t a single village centre but the Church Aided Primary School together with the church provide focal points.  The excellent school is small and has a family feel and a strong Christian character.  Unsurprisingly, the school is heavily oversubscribed with many pupils living out of catchment.

There are three regular services each month with occasional extras, such as the Songs of Praise where the congregation choose and sing favourite hymns.
