St Michael Inkpen

St Michael and All Angels, Inkpen

The village of Inkpen has a population of about 850, spread out over a number of hamlets with no obvious centre.  Inkpen Primary School is very active with a roll of some 70 pupils.  Whilst it is not a Church School, regular involvement by the clergy team is welcomed.   We have services every Sunday, see the Services page on our web site. Typically these are an 8.30 Holy Communion and 9.45 which can be Family Service, Parish Communion or Matins - the last led by a small choir.  There is also a monthly 'Service With a Difference', a non liturgical service giving the opportunity for creative worship.  Attendance each Sunday averages 30 plus but for special services e.g. Carol Service, Christmas and Easter Days averages 130, 120 and 100 respectively.

The building is 13th Century but sympathetically restored in 1890's.  It is in very good repair and is lovingly sustained.  It has a purpose built Church Room with a  kitchen, toilets etc. and the village is served by a monthly church produced Bulletin of Church and Village news delivered free to every household.
